Cap Patrol 2023

For the 2023 golf season the continued use of Cap Patrol has been reaffirmed by the CCP Golf Committee for all club tournaments.

Cap Patrol was brought to CCP in 2021 to bring a more accurate determination of handicap and playing ability to our tournaments.  The goal of Cap Patrol is to increase participation in our wide array of club tournaments and to maintain a level playing field for all of our competitors.

Key Points for Cap Patrol 2023

  • The Cap Patrol Report will be run 5 days prior to all CCP tournament ranked as a Major
  • Players that fall within the red index or the yellow index will receive the fully adjusted Cap Patrol index.  *There will no longer be an adjustment made to soften the red adjustment
  • The complete list of Cap Patrol results, with names, will be posted in the Golf Shop
  • Players will not be notified if they are on the list- it is the players responsibility to check their status prior to a club tournament
  • If a player is on the list, they can ask the Handicap Committee for a review via email.  The player will play under the Cap Patrol index until the review has been conducted- NO EXCEPTIONS
  • By registering for any CCP club event the member acknowledges that this policy is in place and willingly will follow the Cap Patrol parameters

For further information or questions please contact Michael Martin, 2023 Golf Committee Chairman and 2023 Handicap Committee Chairman.

Upcoming CCP Golf Events

Please find a quick snapshot listed below of our schedule of upcoming events.  Registration for the Klondike Classic is now open on the CCP app.  Don’t miss out on this fun and challenging Par 3 event.  Also, please see below for a quick refresher on golf policies at CCP as we head into the golf season.

  • Please use sand to fill all fairway divots.  The myth that you only have to fill divots when carts are in the fairway has been disproven.  It is ok to carry sand from your cart when we are cart path only.
  • Please use the green sand tubes at the Short Game Area when practicing.  Feel free to leave the empty tube when you have completed your practice.  A member of our staff will pick these up and refill them.
  • All golfers need to check in with the Golf Shop prior to teeing off, we have a lot of newer staff this year and this is crucial to help make sure that all billing is carried out correctly.
  • As of March 1st golfers may not wear denim or workout attire on the golf course.  Also all male golfers must have a collared shirt to use the practice facilities and the golf course.
  • From 8:00 am to 7:00 pm the golf course is for GOLF ONLY, please refrain from walking, biking, etc.. during these hours.
