The Pool Is Opening!
The pool is opening on Monday June 29th for regular recreational swimming. We do still have several COVID-19 regulations from the state to follow, however the number of people allowed in the pool is large enough to rarely be an issue. On crowded days we will keep a count and may have to limit entrance to the pool to stay under 70 people.
You will notice extra cleaning throughout the day. We do have spacing requirements of six feet between all tables and lounge chairs, just like in the dining room. Therefore, seating will be very limited this year. This will be a difficult rule, but the staff does not have the authority to change this.
We are also to ensure that, “people do not congregate in or around the premises” and that everyone, “properly wash their hands”.
Due to the cleaning requirements we will not have the showers in use this season at the pool. The regulations also require the restrooms not be used for changing. Therefore, you will need to arrive and depart dressed for the pool.
The pool hours will be very similar to the past years. Regular swimming will be from 10am to 7pm. Swimming for people in high risk groups will be from 9am to 10am and from 7pm to 8pm.
The snack shack will have the same hours as before, 11am to 7pm. We will return the cooking of hot food to the snack shack and continue butlering by the pool. The butlering will be for food from the snack shack or drinks from the Sport Bar. Please note the Sports Bar will be closed on Monday’s.
Just like with other departments at the club, some rules are easier to work with than others. However, we are thrilled to be able to offer recreational swimming in the pool this year. It appeared for some time, that we would be prohibited.
Thank you for your patience. We hope you enjoy the rest of the summer!
