Notice: Fitness Center Closure
Members,
On March 6, Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear signed Executive Order 2020-215, declaring a state of emergency in the state of Kentucky because of the COVID-19 virus. Today, March 17, the Kentucky Cabinet for Health and Family Services, Department of Public Health ordered all exercise facilities and sporting event facilities, that cannot conform to the Center for Disease Control guidelines, to cease operations immediately and until further notice.
Unfortunately, this order will include the Country Club of Paducah Physical Fitness Center, however, Tennis Center activities within the Tennis Center Indoor Courts and Outdoor courts will continue.
I understand this is not what our members nor our staff were hoping for, but it is in the best interest of ourselves, the team, and our community to heed this guidance.
On March 18, 2020, at 4:00 P.M. Central Standard Time, the Country Club of Paducah Fitness Center will cease operations until further notice. All Tennis Clinics for Men, Women, and Juniors stopped activity on March 16. Individual and Group Lessons will continue at the discretion of the Tennis Professional and the individual member(s).
Starting March 18 and until further notice, general court play will be limited to four members per court, with no multi-court groups (I.e., No scheduling groups greater than four players). The Tennis Center Staff ask that any general play be reserved by calling the Tennis Center at 270-554-7065.
We want to extend a grateful ‘thank you’ to each of you. We understand the frustration in seeing our daily lives and schedules changed so drastically. Still, it is vital that all of us play our part in ensuring the health and safety of our members, our team, and our community.
Please reach out to the Tennis Center at 270-554-7065 or by email at ccptennis@ccofpaducah.com for any questions or concerns.
We thank you for your time, and we hope to see you again soon.
Respectfully,
Justin Farley
