CCP Holiday Giving & Merryman House
This Holiday season your CCP Golf Shop is bringing back our drive to support the Merryman House Domestic Crisis Center here in Paducah (last year we donated over $800 in gift cards). From today through Friday, December 10th any member that brings in a donation from the list below will receive 10% off any in-stock purchases in the Golf Shop. My goal is to collect at least 50 donations to the Merryman House to help those that are in need give their children a Christmas to remember. If you are not familiar with the Merryman House and all the benefits that it provides to our community, please see the link below. Thank you in advance for your help with this project.
In addition to the gift card drive, I am putting in a special silent auction item that can only be bid on by replying to my email, firstname.lastname@example.org. The opening bid will be a $500 gift card. I am auctioning off a round for four of our members here at CCP with myself, Shannon Watson, Golf Course Superintendent, Michael Methot, General Manager, and another member of the staff, as your caddie for the day. No tour bag’s please. The winning bid will get to pick the day they would like to play (no CCP tournaments please) and who they would like to invite for their foursome. At that point your four loopers will meet you at the range and we will let the fun begin.
Also due to COVID restrictions Merryman House has asked that we follow the protocols listed below. Please let me know if you have any questions.
Below are a few ways we would love for you to get involved:
- Christmas donations for residential clients in the form of gift cards only. Or, if you would like to donate via cash, check or credit card, we are happy to purchase gift cards ourselves to give to clients. This will lessen person-to-person contacts and allow our clients to shop for themselves and their families on their own. FOR CCP MEMBERS PLEASE DROP OFF GIFT CARDS AT THE CCP GOLF SHOP
- We are requesting the following types of gift cards: Kentucky Oaks Mall, Walmart, and VISA. These allow clients more shopping options than a card to a specialty store.
- Non-residential clients are being provided referrals to community partners for assistance.
- If you would like to purchase physical items for MHDCC or our residents, please see our Amazon Wish Lists for specific items we are in need of. If you do purchase from these lists, please let us know what you purchase so we can properly thank you and send you a tax receipt – Amazon only gives us your first name!
Once again, we would like to thank you for being such a blessing to our clients and agency! Without donors like you, this would not be possible.
